Eshwood Bird Box Cams receive their power and transmit their video and audio signal via a single cable. We feel this is by far the most practical method. There are wireless video cameras on the market, many of them claiming a transmission range of 100 metres
plus. We have tested several and in a typical urban environment we find that 10 metres or less is actually more realistic.
As wireless cameras still need electricity to operate you still have to rely on a cable to carry this to the camera or use batteries but these only last around 24 hours.

Other important reason why we have avoided wireless camera systems are that the transmitter in the camera seems to generate quite a lot of heat and that climatic conditions also can cause deterioration of the picture quality.
Several other household items such as baby monitors and video senders also transmit in the same frequency range as wireless video cameras. |

32mm hole will allow all of the above but also Great Tits, Crested Tits, Nut Hatches, Pied Flycatchers and Tree Sparrows.
You simply have to decide which species you want to attract.
The Eshwood Bird Box Cam’s lid is easily removable to allow cleaning of old nesting material.
